Home mortgage Interest rates are currently at their lowest in 60 years - in some cases as low as 4% for a 30 yr fixed mortgage. Historically low rates combined with "bottom of the market" property values are creating a "perfect storm" making this the BEST TIME in the last 50 years to purchase property in the Los Angeles Area! The last time property values were low (in the late 90's) interest rates were high at 12-14%. The last time Interest rates were anywhere near this low (2004/05) property values were through the roof! Take advantage of this window of opportunity to purchase or sell and trade up to a larger, higher valued home.  It is more financially strategic to trade up in a down market because the 10% you will save on a higher valued home will far outweigh the same 10% loss on the sale of a lower valued home.
